A Fashion Show unlike Any Other

One of my tasks before the pageant is to raise money for the Free the Children Foundation.

Free The Children is the world's largest network of children helping children through education. The primary goals of the organization are to free children from poverty and exploitation and free young people from the notion that they are powerless to affect positive change in the world.

The idea of a recycling themed fashion show came from the fact that the Foundation also helps children escape slavery and child labour. The fashion students at my school worked hard to create recycled items for the show.

Guests were able to watch a wonderful fashion show, have some snacks, and bid on the created items in a silent auction.

The night went well and it was so much fun to watch someone get so excited when they won an item that someone I know, or I made.  When the night was over, a lot of money was raised and the audience went home with a special handmade outfit.

The models for the show were simply students at my school, they volunteered and were an excellent help.
